NBC Grand Junction: CU Mini Med School -taking charge of your health

Modern day technology allows doctors to broadcast live from the Front Range to nine different Western Slope Communities. Each week a different topic is taught, ranging from rural healthcare to “A Day in the Life of a Rheumatology Clinic.”

"What is that? You hear the word thrown around, but unless you've had an experience with that you may not know," said Heil.

Organizers hope kids to will participate and see a future in medicine. "They’re going to get to see every week a different focus about what they might want to be when they grow-up," said Heil.
