Daily Camera: University of Colorado professors, scholars helped author federal climate report

The more-than-1,600-page National Climate Assessment involved at least 10 co-authors from Colorado universities, including five in the CU system. The report warns that the warming climate already has damaged and will increasingly damage the country's economic growth, infrastructure and public health, and it examines at a regional level what warming from the burning of coal, oil and gas will mean. (CU Boulder professor Paul) Chinowsky and several other CU co-authors said the university's involvement in drafting the report not only demonstrated the strength of its research activities, but it also helped to provide local insight and expertise.
