Typically, In the Journal Entry Approval Process an individual – other than the person who created the Journal Entry – reviews the Journal Entry for technical correctness and reasonableness. Only Journal Entries in Valid status can be approved.
The JE approver cannot make any changes to the information contained in the LINES page of the Journal Entry. Therefore, if an approver has questions or wants changes made to a JE, the approver must notify the individual who created the JE.
