Travis Golden has joined UIS as a Service Desk Technician. In his new role, Travis is the first line of client communication and provides first-level customer support to the CU community, including basic computer troubleshooting and repair, network/internet connectivity, email, software applications, and incident triage. This position is customer focused and responsible for ensuring the highest level of service delivery for the departments supported by the UIS Service Desk. Travis has a thirst for knowledge and an ability to quickly diagnose user issues and follow them through to resolution.

Bhavani Kambham has joined UIS as the Middleware Administrator. In her new role, she supports daily middleware operations, automates processes and procedures, and delivers quality business services to our customers. Products supported include Oracle Fusion Middleware, Java EE/Application Servers (WebLogic and Tomcat), Cognos, Sunapsis, Oracle SOA Suite/BPEL, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Identity Management, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and GraphQL. Products are deployed on Linux and Windows virtual machines (VMs) and Docker/Rancher, using Ansible configuration management.
Bhavani is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of application environments as well as working with internal and external customers to support system rollouts and respond to and troubleshoot escalated operational issues. She informs and advises project managers and stakeholders regarding project plans and implementation, conducts technical analyses and produces technical project recommendations. Bhavani is charged with not only supporting daily middleware operations but must also work with the team to automate processes and procedures, create efficiencies, and provide quality business services to our clients and customers
Dmeeko Walsh has joined UIS as a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst/Developer and is a member of the Data and Business Intelligence team. In this role, he will help support and enhance the University's reporting and analytics capabilities, along with maintaining CU’s Cognos reporting system that is used to develop reporting options for business offices and campus users. Dmeeko is in a customer-centric position focused on maintaining a solid BI architecture tool and providing customer guidance on BI best practices and ongoing end-user support. He collaborates with and advises report developers, communicates enhancement roll-outs, promotes end-user adoption and ensures the continued successes of Cognos deliverables.In addition to the required duties above, Dmeeko also has the option to support the University’s data warehouse, data integrations, analytics and business intelligence initiatives by acting as a member of the University’s extract, transform and load (ETL) team. In this option role, Dmeeko serves as an ETL developer and systems tester and assists with other ETL-related tasks.

Bradley “Brad” Weidman has joined UIS as a Systems Administrator, reporting to Desmond Grant, the Assistant Director of ECS Infrastructure. In his new role, Brad is responsible for the planning, implementation, administration and operational support of the university's enterprise infrastructure. In a high-paced environment, this includes daily issue resolution, regular maintenance work, advisement and contribution to project initiatives as part of the infrastructure team. This also includes participating in the definition, implementation and support of best practices used by the team with a focus on continual improvement. This position is responsible for taking part in regularly scheduled maintenance windows and being on-call as part of a rotation within the infrastructure team

Jeffrey “Jeff” Benn, joins UIS as the Online Program Director, Salesforce Strategy & Implementation. In this newly created position within the Office of Digital Education (CU Online) Jeff is responsible for creating the short and long-term roadmap and implementation plan across ODE operations that consist of marketing, recruitment and student support. He will support the Salesforce.com infrastructure development needed to support the increase in fully online programs. In addition to being responsible for high performing solutions on the Salesforce Lightning platform, Jeff will work directly with senior leaders within ODE and the Office of IT to develop strategies to optimize Salesforce.com. He will also work with key leaders to develop crucial performance metrics that can be measured consistently across all ODE operational lines.

Marc Donohue joins UIS as the Salesforce Online Program Administrator. In this role, Marc’s primary duty is to assist the Online Program Director, Salesforce Strategy and Implementation on the implementation, deployment and management of Salesforce for the Office of Digital Education (ODE) as it relates to marketing, recruitment, and student support. He will work closely with a third-party technology partner during the initial set up and deployment phases that includes phone, text, chat and other features needed for CU Online. Marc will be responsible for verifying data quality, ensuring data integrity, making changes to the system, maintaining security, providing user trainings and support, writing process documentation and managing reports/dashboards.
|Kevin Reynen||Senior Drupal Developer||Transfer||11/10/2020||
Kevin Reynen joins UIS as the Senior Drupal Developer, and is responsible for front-end development and theming and back-end development and Drupal administration. In this role, Kevin is required to utilize a combination of programming skills (PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, etc.) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on) as well as possess a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. In addition, Kevin possess an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment. The Senior Drupal Developer participates in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of Drupal websites developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment, Kevin takes direction from Solution Architects, leads on development activities and serves as the front-end and back-end Drupal development subject matter expert. He also mentors other web developers and assists the Assistant Director with prioritization and the future state of enhancements and roadmap development.
