UIS represents at 2019 HEUG Alliance as leader in higher education technology

The University of Colorado participated in the Higher Education User Group (HEUG) Alliance international conference, from March 3-6 in Orlando, Florida for a record breaking conference. Hosted by CU’s primary enterprise application provider, Oracle, the three-day conference brought together over 3,500 attendees from all 50 states and over 19 countries, 100 vendors and 350 sessions.

Each year, CU represents itself as a leader in higher education technology by presenting expertise and best practices in implementing and operating Oracle’s range of PeopleSoft and other applications.

“The annual HEUG Alliance conference is unique in that it caters to higher education institutions that use Oracle and PeopleSoft technologies. The great thing about this conference is that it combines both functional and technical knowledge in one place that naturally creates a space for collaboration and networking. We at CU are very active within HEUG and always have a large cross-campus contingent both in attendance and presenting. Many teams and individuals from UIS delivered presentations. The UIS Portal Team, represented by Bob Hasenhundl and me, delivered two presentations (one on Load Testing the other on Accessibility), both of which were well attended and generated a lot of dialogue between us and the audience,” said Chris Toomer, Assistant Director Enterprise Portal, Mobile, and Systems Applications.

The University of Colorado had 12 presentations represented at this conference, with 8 presentations from UIS. Presentations are offered across nearly all Alliance tracks, with topics ranging from Campus Solutions, load testing, HCM, PeopleSoft accessibility and more.
