Guy Chavez has joined UIS as the Assistant Director of Grants IT Services. In his new role, he is responsible for the implementation and support of functionality within the PeopleSoft Grants Suite modules (Grants, Project Costing, Contracts, Billing, Accounts Receivable) and other Grants related components within the PeopleSoft system to enable Post Award Management activities at all CU campuses. This role will supervise business systems analysts to ensure operational support, collaborate with campus stakeholders and IT partners to understand campus business requirements, and work with internal UIS teams to achieve Grants service goals. Guy is a Colorado native from Colorado Springs, CO, and chose to work as part of CU System because he is a huge CU Buffs fan! When he is out of the office, Guy enjoys trail running, hiking, fishing, cycling, making/refurbishing old furniture from reclaimed materials, and traveling anywhere with a beach.

We welcome Lucas Win to UIS as an SOA Engineer. In this role, Lucas provides technical support and leadership in the area of integration of PeopleSoft applications with other systems and applications, including PeopleSoft technologies (specifically Integration Broker and PeopleSoft Web Services). He has an in-depth understanding of integration project life cycles using SOA technologies in support of the Oracle vended systems that have been implemented here at CU. Lucas is responsible for the technical design of complex processes; coding, testing and implementing software; providing technical support to CU staff; planning and organizing small projects and leading other development staff during the implementation of these projects, as well as supporting web services and other integrations. Lucas Win is originally from Myanmar but has spent the past decade in Texas. He chose to work at CU because of the career advancement opportunities and the opportunity to move to the beautiful state of Colorado. When Lucas is not in the office, he enjoys learning new technologies and tinkering with gadgets, as well as hiking in the mountains and exercising.
