m-Fin provides five reports that have the classic revenue and expenditure summarization to individual account codes: (1) m-Fin OPERATING SUMMARY (2) m-Fin REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE SUMMARY (3) m-Fin REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE TOTAL (3) m-Fin TRIAL BALANCE SUMMARY...
Here is an m-Fin report that can summarize a single account code, or any from-to range of account codes, showing total actuals for each accounting period across all fiscal years since 2000. You could use it to look at the monthly 000100 -- CASH balance on a clinical trial, like this:

If you would like a report that sums into fiscal year columns, please test m-Fin ACTUALS BY FISCAL YEAR available in Cognos QA now. [10-Feb-2014: The report is in production now.] It runs for either a given speedtype, program, or project.
It's just actuals, so there are no budgets or encumbrances.

The gauge charts are like tachometers but with three needles instead of one. The three needles are for time segments A, B, and C.
Do you review the finances for a high number of projects, more than you can keep track of in your head? Want a report that lists projects that look like they might go over budget? Want this done without using encumbrances?
m-Fin COMPENSATION SUMMARY and m-Fin PAYROLL TRANSACTIONS have been changed to compute benefits rate both with and without INC and LEG. INC and LEG are payroll earnings type codes. INC is INCENTIVE PAY. LEG is MED - LEGAL pay. These unusual earnings types occur mostly on Anschutz Medical Campus.
When pay does not involve INC and LEG then these reports are the same as they were before, except for some improvements to the column header labels.
