What you need to know about 2016 holidays and how they affect paydays

With the holidays approaching, you may get questions about when paydays fall in relation. In most cases, there will be no changes to the regular schedule.

Thanksgiving: While most CU campuses are closed the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, this day is not a recognized bank holiday. The regularly scheduled off-cycle and biweekly paydays will remain on Friday.

Christmas: While all CU campuses will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23, in observance of Christmas, the off-cycle payday will stay on that Friday, which is not a bank holiday.

New Year’s Eve: The final off-cycle, biweekly and monthly paydays will fall on Friday, Dec. 30. While most campuses are closed – you guessed it – this date is not a bank holiday.

To ensure timely pay, make sure that all employees submit all necessary timecards by the correct deadlines.
