HCM Snapshot: HCM WorkCenters

Elevate is making it easier to access your most frequently used HR tools through its new WorkCenter feature, available in the new Human Capital Management (HCM).

Think of WorkCenters as your bookmarks for everything you need to do your job; the pages and features you use most will be saved to this one-stop landing page. From here, select any one of these “favorites” from a list on the left-hand side of your screen and watch its content load in the center of the screen—all without having to open a new window.

Even if you infrequently use HR systems, you’ll be able to build a list of favorite links to improve your experience.

A world of convenience for HCM Community members

If you’re one of the more than 1,700 CU employees who access these systems to pay employees and manage their data, the following WorkCenter features can dramatically boost your workflow.

  1. See only what’s relevant to you.
Sick of seeing a bunch of links that have nothing to do with your role in the HCM Community? We hear you—which is why the new system will generate links and information based on the role you play within the system.
  2. Take care of business with worklists.
Now you’ll have one place to review all your outstanding tasks, such as items awaiting your approval. Plus, because you can view all tasks on one screen, you can check multiple items at once and bulk approve, deny, withdraw, preview or submit them.
  3. Run queries and reports—or review recent ones—on the fly.
You will now be able to view all recently and frequently run queries and reports. Just by clicking the link next to the query/report name, you’ll be able to generate it immediately.
  4. Complete multiple tasks without having to open multiple windows.
Tired of having to open multiple windows to view different pages within the HRMS and hoping one doesn’t time out? With HCM’s WorkCenters, you can  open new windows automatically by just clicking on the links without having to navigate away from the WorkCenter.
