Give student workers final tasks before break
Are your student employees ready to leave for the summer? Remind them of of two important items they should check off their to-do list before they head out for summer vacation:
- Update their addresses in the employee portal, my.cu.edu
By verifying that they have an accurate mailing addresses on file, student employees ensure they receive their pay, important job-related information, and academic records and bills.
- Check their mail and email for details about summer changes to the Student Employee Retirement Plan (SERP)
Tell your student workers to be on the lookout this spring for information in their email and mail boxes about how CU will modernize the SERP this July by offering new investment options from numerous investment firms beyond TIAA-CREF, including BlackRock, Vanguard and Wells Fargo. (TIAA-CREF will continue to service the SERP.) These important communications will give student workers guidance around what they should do if they wish to control how their investments will be handled in this transition.
