Employees to enroll in benefits April 27 – May 11
Let your employees know they’ll have just two weeks this spring to enroll in new benefits plans or re-elect their existing ones during Open Enrollment 2015-16, Monday, April 27 – Monday, May 11.
Employee Services will host Open Enrollment Sessions and Fairs from April 29 – May 7 on each CU campus to offer more details about benefits available to employees and retirees from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016.
Among the plan and program changes employees can expect to their benefits choices:
- CU is offering employees a new medical plan.
By enrolling in CU Health Plan – Extended, employees will gain access to covered medical care from doctors and facilities across the country. Plus, they can refer themselves to specialists.
- CU will no longer offer CU Health Plan – Access Network.
This costly plan is being discontinued as of July 1. Current employees must enroll in a new plan by May 11 or will be automatically enrolled in CU Health Plan – Extended. Retirees on this plan who take no action will be automatically enrolled in CU Health Plan – High Deductible.
- Most plans will offer new coverage for services such as an innovative diabetes prevention program and acupuncture.
Learn more about what acupuncture services will be covered, and how many plan participants diagnosed with pre-diabetes can benefit from CU Health Plan – Diabetes Prevention.
