CU updates system to accommodate salary increases, retirement plan changes and the ACA
Employee Services recently completed three major tasks within the HRMS to ensure employees receive pay and benefits without a hitch.
Salary uploads completed
We uploaded all increases for classified staff, university staff and 12-month faculty into job data. Note that we added non-base-building salary amounts to job pages for classified staff only. This will be reflected on these employees' July 31 pay stubs.
Your employees can access their updated salary information from the compensation history page within the employee portal, my.cu.edu. Receiving questions about these updates? Please first direct employees to their campus HR offices. For questions outside campus HR's purview, please ask employees to email email@example.com, and we'll do our best to help.
HRMS prepared to manage new data resulting from July transition of CU's Retirement Plans
We've updated Plan data for all employees who participate in CU's 401(a) Retirement Plan and/or CU's 403(b) Voluntary Retirement Plan. This will ensure a seamless experience within the system once the transition is complete later this month.
These changes, dated July 1, will be effective for any hand-drawn warrant requests or paychecks calculated going forward.
Eligibility letters sent to employees affected by the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
With the passage and implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), about 600 employees are newly eligible for medical benefits through the university. We've notified these employees of their rights to benefits, as well as their deadline for enrolling in these plans. We've worked to ensure these employees now appear as benefits eligible within the system and are able to access the Benefits Enrollment tool within the employee portal.
