eComm Upgrade: User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
User acceptance testing (UAT) is a fundamental component of the eComm upgrade. Before we migrate any eComm users to the new environment, we want to be absolutely certain that everything is working exactly as it should so that communications to CU constituents can continue without interruption.
The COE will be leading the UAT effort and is already working on test scripts to guide these efforts. Recognizing that the eComm Specialists play a key role in testing given their end-user understanding of business requirements and functionality, the eComm team has created a subgroup who will participate in UAT:
- Melanie Jones, eComm Training Manager, Office of the President
- Caroline Kelly, eComm Specialist, Advancement
- Jennifer Mortensen, Executive Director of Electronic Communication, Office of the President
- Eric Nissen, eComm Specialist, UCCS
Additional eComm Specialists may be added to the above team in the near future pending scheduling and testing scope.
Salesforce UAT will focus primarily on data validation and the creation of campaigns and reports. Marketing Cloud UAT will focus on the ability to send communications. Cvent UAT will focus on the ability to create and manage special event websites and registration forms.
