Erica Chavez serves as a Research Associate Attorney in the Litigation Office of University Counsel. Ms. Chavez holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Colorado. Ms. Chavez received her J.D. from the University of Colorado in 2010, where she was the co-chair of the Moot Court Board and one of the first student recipients of the Clifford Calhoun Public Interest Award. Prior to joining the Office of University Counsel, Ms. Chavez worked for a national non-profit organization promoting public health policy in Colorado. Jennifer George serves as Associate Counsel in the Colorado Springs Office of University Counsel. Ms. George earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University. Ms. George received her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Ms. George's business experience spans nearly 20 years, as an attorney, business owner/consultant and advisor. In her early career, she practiced employment and labor law with Littler Mendelson and Sherman & Howard. Later, Ms. George started her own human resources consulting practice and became a co-owner of Employment Practices Solutions, where she investigated workplace misconduct, conducted employment practices training, developed corporate and personnel policies and manuals, and provided expert witness testimony of employment practices matters.

Katie Goodwin serves as Sr. Assistant Counsel at the University of Colorado Denver│Anschutz Medical Campus. Ms. Goodwin joined the University in 2008 as a Legal Research Associate. Ms. Goodwin is a native of Houston, Texas. Ms. Goodwin received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Spanish from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. Following college, Ms. Goodwin moved to Los Angeles, CA where she worked in fund raising at Occidental College. Ms. Goodwin returned to Texas, graduating from South Texas College of Law in 2007 after spending her final semester as a visiting student at University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Goodwin successfully competed in several appellate advocacy tournaments and clerked in one of Harris County’s civil district courts. Prior to accepting this position with the Office of University Counsel, Ms. Goodwin was working on a contract basis with an attorney in Denver who practices in the area of civil litigation. Jeremy Hueth serves as Managing Associate University Counsel in the System Administration Office of University Counsel, working directly with the Vice President and University Counsel. Mr. Hueth received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Montana in 1997 and his J.D., with honors, from the University of Montana in 2000. During law school, Mr. Hueth worked for Worden, Thane & Haines, P.C., in Missoula, Montana, and the University of Montana Legal Counsel's Office. Patrick T. O'Rourke serves as Vice President, University Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Regents. Mr. O'Rourke was appointed on April 19, 2012, and assumed his responsibilities on June 1, 2012. Mr. O'Rourke has been with the University since 2005 and most recently served as Managing Senior Associate University Counsel for the University of Colorado's litigation office. In 2011,  Mr. O'Rourke was one of three finalists for a vacancy on the Colorado Supreme Court, and has tried some of the University's highest-profile cases. Before joining the University of Colorado, Mr. O'Rourke was a director of the law firm Montgomery Little & McGrew, P.C., in Englewood, Colorado. Mr. O'Rourke has represented clients in a broad range of lawsuits, including employment law, civil rights, professional liability and product liability. In addition to his work in the trial courts, Mr. O'Rourke has substantial appellate experience and frequently served as appellate counsel for the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, The Colorado Medical Society and Copic Insurance Company. Mr. O'Rourke received his undergraduate degree from Creighton University and his law degree from The Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. O'Rourke is a frequent lecturer on the subjects of health care law, professional liability, legal ethics, and appellate practice. Mr. O'Rourke is a former member of the Colorado Bar Association's Ethics Committee.

David Temple serves as Sr. Associate University Counsel in the Litigation Office of University Counsel. Mr. Temple received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkley in 1979, where he also played lacrosse. Mr. Temple matriculated to the University of Denver where he received his J.D. in 1983 after working on the Denver International Law Journal and participating on the Jessup Moot Court team, reaching the national finals. After law school, Mr. Temple worked in private practice for Ireland, Stapleton, Pryor and Pascoe, P.C., and in the public sector as an Assistant Attorney General in the Health Services Unit of the Colorado Department of Law. Maggie Wilensky serves as Sr. Assistant Attorney in the System Office of University Counsel. Ms. Wilensky is rejoining the Office of University Counsel after a period of serving as University Attorney for the University of Texas at Dallas. Ms Wilensky holds a Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Honors Program from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. Before Ms. Wilensky embarked on her career in higher education law, she clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Tom Phillips of the Supreme Court of Texas and later to the Honorable Michael Schneider, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Jenny Watson Willits serves as Associate University Counsel at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. Ms. Willits previously served as Sr. Assistant University Counsel at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Campus and Assistant Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer for the System Office. Ms. Willits joined the University in 2004 as a Research Associate Attorney in the Denver Office of University Counsel. Ms. Willits holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint Louis University and a J.D. from the University of Iowa where she was an Associate Editor on Law Review and a member of the National Moot Court team. Ms. Willits is admitted to the Colorado Bar and is a member of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations.

Jennifer Wunsch serves as an Executive Assistant in the Office of the Vice President, University Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Regents.  Ms. Wunsch has been with the Office of University Counsel since January of 2014.  Prior to joining the University of Colorado, Ms. Wunsch worked as an associate attorney for a law firm in Boulder and as a deputy district attorney for the 14th Judicial District in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  Ms. Wunsch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Emory University and a J.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Steve Zweck-Bronner serves as Managing Sr. Associate University Counsel at the University of Colorado Denver│Anschutz Medical Campus. Mr. Zweck-Bronner has been with the Office of University Counsel since April 1993. Mr. Zweck-Bronner previously served in the University's Litigation Unit and is presently serving in the capacity of campus advising counsel for UCD. Prior to joining the University Counsel staff, Mr. Zweck-Bronner was a litigator with Hanson and Holmes, P.C. in Denver. Mr. Zweck-Bronner's practice emphasized medical malpractice and insurance defense. Mr. Zweck-Bronner holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami Law School in 1987. Mr. Zweck-Bronner is admitted to the Illinois and Colorado bars (1988), is admitted to practice in front of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association.
