April – June 2005 Project definition interviews, surveys, and Charter development.

July – Sept. 2005 Charter refinement and planning of Pre-RFP phase.

October 2005 Decision point: Pre-RFP phase approval and funding to proceed with with detailed requirements definitions.

November 2005 – June 2006 Pre-RFP phase: identification of processes and sub-processes. Development of detailed requirements definitions.

January 2006 Additional vendor demos.

Spring – Summer 2006 Decision point: University commitment to move forward with an RFP and intent to award a contract for a new SIS.

Summer 2006 Finalizing and releasing RFP.

Summer – Fall 2006 RFP and vendor evaluation.

Late Fall – Winter 2006/2007 Finalizing contract and signing it.

July 2007 Initiation of formal implementation of new SIS.

2007 – 2010 Project implementation and roll-out.
