Overview: The International Student and Scholar System (ISSS) application is used by campus International Education and Admissions offices to report and track foreign national students and scholars from around the globe and help keep them engaged in learning at CU. It provides an interface between Campus Solutions and the federal Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), which tracks eligibility and enrollment of foreign national students in the U.S.

Benefits: Some of the benefits of ISSS include:

  • Serves as the primary working system and database for campus International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and international admissions office personnel.
  • Tracks information on students who are foreign nationals that is not currently retained in Campus Solutions, such as identification of dependents, family financial information, etc.
  • Stores data that is provided via interface from CU-SIS such as visa data, program of study, class enrollment, address and contact information, etc.
  • Automates reporting to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) SEVIS application.

Funding Model: This system is funded through the campuses.

Who is eligible to use the service: Campus ISSS Offices, campus international admissions offices and CU Boulder Continuing Education and International Education Office.

How to request access to the service: For information on how to request access to ISSS see the Access website.

Related services: ISSS interfaces with DHS SEVIS application, which tracks eligibility and enrollment of all foreign national students who have entered the United States for the purposes of enrolling in a college-level course of study. Formerly known as fsaAtlas and International Student and Scholar Management (ISSM).
