Why did you initially apply to work at CU?

I decided to apply to work here because the career opportunity was in line with my professional goals. I also had friends and family in the area.

What makes CU a great place to work?

The people and culture are great. CU leadership does a good job of aligning actions with values.

What is/are your favorite aspect(s) of working at CU?

My favorite aspect of CU is that leadership inspires shared visions.

What is a typical working day like for you?

That depends. It usually starts off early with meetings throughout the day. However, there is not really a typical day. That is part of why I like it at CU.

What is the best part of your workday?

I enjoy being able to work with faculty and staff. It is also extremely rewarding to be able to work with students.

What is your favorite campus/neighborhood location?

I like the old Fitzsimons Army Hospital. I had an uncle that was born there and now lives in Europe, so it is an interesting place for me.

What do you enjoy most about living in Colorado?

I most enjoy the Colorado lifestyle. I like being able to do things outside for most of the year. It’s a nice change from my previous residence in Texas.

What is your favorite area restaurant?

My two favorite restaurants are City-o-City and Root Down.

What do you enjoy doing on your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also like to go hiking and mountain climbing.

What is your favorite perk or benefit at CU?

The health benefit plan is really good. The cost is fairly low for what you get in return.

What would be your one piece of advice for someone interested in working at CU

The people and culture are really important. CU creates a spirit of community that should be embraced.
