- Find ways to improve the general efficiency and effectiveness of System operations by identifying:
- Policies, procedures, processes, and/or practices that could be revised, simplified, eliminated or created, if needed, to improve efficiencies/effectiveness or would better meet the needs of the University community; (Any proposed actions must be balanced with acceptable levels of risk and maintains adequate compliance and accountability.)
- Ways of improving System Administration’s communications regarding new policies, initiatives, and procedures with the entire University community;
- Ways of improving the tools and training needed by staff and faculty to implement required policies and procedures; and
- Ways of increasing the cooperation and coordination among system administration and its operating units, campuses, and affiliates.
- Provide feedback and guidance to the Office of Policy and Efficiency on the University policy process, efficiency efforts, and process improvement efforts.
- This charge shall be reviewed annually by the Task Force to ensure continued focus of the role of this group.
- Continue to refine our approach to quickly identify, analyze, and recommend actions designed to meet the charge outlined above.
- Meet as necessary and provide periodic updates to the President, through the Chair, on its progress, findings, and recommendations.
- The Task Force may make recommendations at any time.
- If applicable and appropriate, ensure that recommendations are adequately cross-referenced to existing or prior audits (internal or external) and include information on the finding, the original University response, the Task Force recommendation, and the implication of implementing the recommendation.
- Continue direct outreach efforts with faculty and staff governance, other campus stakeholder groups, supplier showcases, and other opportunities at the Boulder, Colorado Springs, Denver, and Anschutz Medical campuses.
- Continue offering feedback opportunities via email and/or dedicated Task Force on Efficiency and Office of Policy and Efficiency websites.
- Engage with the subject matter experts - as needed and appropriate.
