The Student Retirement Interface process (from the CU-SIS to the HRMS) evaluates a student’s enrollment status as of the date on which CU processes payroll.
A student's enrollment is evaluated throughout the term, and student retirement status is adjusted accordingly. A new row is automatically added in Job Data to all active jobs for the student, and the system updates the student’s Empl Class retirement code so it matches what is in CU-SIS.
Note: If the Empl Class retirement code information in Job Data and CU-SIS matches when the interface is run for any/all active jobs, no new row will be added to the job(s). If the student does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements to be exempt from paying student retirement , the system places the student into the default student retirement plan.
