The University of Colorado System Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) provides leadership and support in the pursuit of excellence in teaching, learning, research, creative work and service by advancing the academic agendas of CU’s campuses, upholding the principles of academic freedom, and fostering a diverse and inclusive community.

Reports & Policy Briefs
OAA produces reports on a wide range of academic, programmatic, diversity, and student affairs topics.

Awards & Grants
OAA coordinates the President’s grants and awards honoring faculty, staff and students throughout the CU system for achievements in diversity, the humanities, and community service.  

Faculty Affairs
OAA collaborates with faculty governance groups on system-wide faculty issues while providing guidance for all faculty members through the Faculty Handbook.

OAA supports CU's diversity initiatives and goals for inclusive excellence.

Digital Education and Engagement
OAA works with colleagues across the system to establish national leadership for CU in the areas of teaching and learning with technology, online education, massive open online courses (MOOCs), access to higher education, and student success. 

P-20 Initiatives
OAA supports pre-college outreach efforts, system scholarships, and CU’s Pre-Collegiate Development Programs

Academic Policy
OAA acts as the system liaison to the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. In addition, OAA manages and reviews system-wide academic policies.

The CU for Colorado website, curated by OAA and University Relations, highlights CU’s statewide impact and community outreach.

Executive MBA Program
OAA provides coordination and support for the multi-campus CU Executive MBA Program.
