Dr. Jennifer Doudna, a professor of biochemistry at the University of California, Berkeley and the researcher who led the discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technique, will be the featured speaker at this year’s Butcher Symposium and is the recipient of the 2015 Charlie Butcher Award.
