Ready to use the Tuition Waiver Benefit?

To ensure enough time for processing, you must meet the listed deadlines. 

Step 1: Apply to CU Boulder before the semester begins

 

Deadline: Aug. 8, 2016


Step 2: Submit the tuition waiver benefit form

Step 3: Term-activate

 

Deadline: Aug. 22, 2016

  • After your admission is confirmed, non-degree students must term-activate in MyCUInfo. Learn how.
  • Degree-seeking students are automatically term-activated.

Step 4: Register for your courses

 

 Dependents Register: On their designated registration day

 Employees Register: Aug. 22, 2016

  • Dependents may begin registering for undergraduate or graduate courses per the CU Boulder registration calendar
  • Employees may enroll in undergraduate or graduate courses on the first day of the semester. 
  • You may want to include a few backup options in case the class you'd like to take is already full. 
  • Please refer to the academic calendar's add/drop course deadlines.

Step 5: Apply for the College Opportunity Fund

 

 Application Deadline: Sept. 2, 2016

  • If you or your dependent is taking undergraduate courses, apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF).
  • Please note: If COF funds are available to you or your dependent, but you do not use them, you will be responsible for the tuition amount that would have been covered by COF.

Step 6: Pay fees and non-waived tuition

 

 Deadline: Listed on tuition bill


Step 7: Resubmit Tuition Waiver Benefit Form for new courses, if necessary

 

 Deadline: Sept. 12, 2016

  • If the courses you originally requested were full, you can resubmit the Tuition Waiver Benefit Form to Employee Services with a list of new courses.
