Excellence in Leadership Program

Career Advancement & Learning

The Excellence in Leadership Program (ELP) helps current leaders become more effective at managing key challenges of a dynamic CU system.

Throughout the program, university leaders gain knowledge and skills to fulfill CU's commitment to current and future academic and administrative excellence. Each academic year, ELP hosts monthly workshops on topics such as strategic thinking and relationship-building.

To participate, you must already be in a leadership role and be nominated by a senior manager. You'll be selected based on your personal impact on university, local or even global communities. Areas of leadership could include but aren't limited to service, instruction and research.

A special event for ELP alumni

Hold the date - ELP alumni are invited to the Excellence in Leadership Luncheon and Lecture on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the Brown Palace Hotel.

At the event, the leadership lecture, “Complicated or Complex: Two Practical Tools,” will be delivered by Paul Gibbons, Author, Speaker, Consultant. After the lecture, the recipient of the 2016 Excellence in Leadership Award will be honored.
