The purpose of the Human Asset Management: Motive to Motivate course is to move/inspire participants to move both those they work with and themselves to purposeful action. This course provides an overview of motivational theory, discusses current trends and suggests simple motivational tools for managing and leading teams and ourselves more effectively.

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply motivational theories to guide them in addressing current challenges;
  • Describe current thoughts and discussions regarding motivation;
  • Explain the importance of and ways to improve their own level of motivation; and,
  • Describe why motivation is first and foremost an internal state and how that knowledge is used to motivate others.
