Heather Hoyer is the Procurement Learning Specialist & Forms Developer in Finance & Procurement Business Services, within the Office of University Controller, at the University of Colorado. She is responsible for most of the Procurement Service Center’s (PSC) learning resources, including guides, videos, online courses, and customized in-person sessions. She also develops and maintains the University’s finance and procurement forms.
Heather joined the University in 2003, first gaining experience as a payables technician for the PSC and a help desk consultant for the Finance & Procurement Help Desk before moving on to her current role. Prior to joining the University, she was a Mad Scientist who helped elementary-age kids get excited about science with fun experiments.
Heather earned her Bachelor’s degree in General Mathematics, with an emphasis in education, from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She is also a Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) through the Association for Talent Development, which means she has an overall understanding of training and development and that she can apply this knowledge in the workplace.
