UIS’s Planned Communication Process is Changing June 1, 2017

New UIS Service Alerts blog site

We’re excited to announce that UIS is changing our planned communication process effective Thursday, June 1. We’re making this change to alleviate the many emails our partners receive for planned maintenance and to implement a location where upcoming maintenance events and completed incidents can be easily viewed.

Important! The emergency communication process is not changing at this time – you will still receive email updates for emergency outages.

Here is what this means for you.

What’s changing

UIS will no longer send an initial and reminder planned maintenance email for production and non-production windows. Instead, we will send a bi-weekly digest that shows the upcoming windows and other maintenance that has occurred. The first digest will be in your inbox Friday, June 2.

All maintenance will be posted to UIS’s new Service Alerts page at https://www.cu.edu/blog/uis-service-alerts, which you can access at any time. You’ll see maintenance and incident updates posted the first business morning following the event.

We will continue to utilize the RSS feed on http://www.cu.edu/uis and my.cu.edu for planned and unplanned outages.

I don’t receive UIS maintenance communications and want to

Not receiving updates about UIS’s maintenance events and you’d like to? Here is how you can receive updates:

We welcome you to sign up for both the bi-weekly digest and subscribe to the blog!

Thank you for your support as we update our communication process. Have feedback on how we can make this process more effective for you? Please contact UIS Communications.
