If it's Tuesday, it's Anschutz Medical Campus (for an OUC Town Hall)

Following up on the Oct 7 OUC Town Hall in Colorado Springs, we visited the historic old hospital (Building 500) on the Anschutz Medical Campus on the very next day. A lively crowd filled Bushnell Auditorium. (Trivia question: do you know how this auditorium got its name? From Colonel George E. Bushnell, who was sent to the state in November 1917 to inspect possible sites for a tuberculosis/recuperation camp.) Assistant Vice President/University Controller Bob Kuehler highlighted the many successful CUSP submissions from the medical campus -- including the winners of the 2013 CU Shared Practices grand prize: Michelle Wallace, Jamie Tackett, Laura Richardson, and Jori Leszczynski from the School of Medicine. Their impressive new laboratory mopping system saves the University $120,000 or more every year. (See previous OUC news post at www.cu.edu/controller/news/?p=510.)  There were a number of audience questions about Cognos m-Fin reports and Continuing Professional Education (CPE). We're currently following up on the requests for customized training delivered to us via the Town Hall feedback forms. If you noted an interest in training on your form: we'll be in touch soon! We continue to present OUC Town Hall sessions on the other campuses throughout the week of Oct 7-11.
