We have some updates on payroll encumbrances for this month … as well as procedural information about the new (with FIN 9.2) fiscal year-end adjustment periods.
On the Finance System Calendars tab at www.cu.edu/controller/finance/, you’ll now find two options under the listing, “FY 2014 Year-End Calendar.”
You can keep track of all the fiscal year-end deadlines by using the traditional Excel Year-End calendar. In addition, the popular Google Year-End Calendar format from last year has returned for FY 2014.

We've reached a turning point: the external audit is now officially over. And this year the process was marked by a singular event: no questions from the State on our J-Rec.
The Office of University Controller (OUC) will be visiting each campus during the week of Oct 7-11 for this year's OUC Town Halls. The OUC sends out its thanks to the campus controllers’ offices and to all the organizational units who contributed to a successful year-end close for FY 2013.
Now we’ve moved on to the next phase. Our external auditors, CliftonLarsonAllen, are currently onsite for final fieldwork and will issue their report to the State Auditor’s Office later this fall. The University's Annual Financial Report for FY 2013 will be available on the OUC website in December.

Good news in time for fiscal year-end: We'll be implementing a new (and better) shadowing tool later this month. Look for the announcement in a future OUC blog posting.
